Rehearsal 2019

As part of our planning for the 2022 census, we ran a rehearsal from 7 October to 7 November 2019. We asked respondents to provide information as of 13 October.

We ran the rehearsal in 3 local authority areas, reaching 72,000 households. They were:

  • parts of Glasgow City
  • Dumfries and Galloway
  • Na h-Eileanan Siar

After the rehearsal, we published an evaluation report.

This report provides a summary of the rehearsal's key findings. It also outlines next steps for us to take to ensure the successful delivery of 2022's census.

In 2020, we also ran a statistical methodology rehearsal.
